Frequently asked questions
How do I log without opening the app?
Add the Weartap widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and log with one tap. While your aligners are out, a countdown card appears on the Lock Screen with a Put back button. On iOS 18 you can also add the Weartap control to Control Center. Settings → Log without opening the app has step-by-step instructions. These are Pro features; the 7-day trial includes them.
I don't get notifications.
Check that notifications are allowed for Weartap in iOS Settings, and that Settings → Alerts → “Alert me when it's time to put them back” is on in the app. Free sends one alert a day; Pro repeats until you log them back in.
I forgot to tap Take out.
After tapping it, use “Took them out earlier?” to move the start back by 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or pick any time with the wheel. You can also edit entries from today's list or by tapping a day in the calendar.
Why is my goal shorter on the first day?
The app doesn't count time before you started using it, since it can't know whether you were wearing them. On that first day the goal is scaled to the hours left. From the next day it's your full goal.
I've finished treatment and moved to a retainer.
Settings → Mode → Retainer. Choose Nights only to get an evening reminder to put it in instead of a countdown.
What happens when I change phones?
Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID and install the app. Records and photos come back automatically; it can take a few minutes.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes data on the device. Data in iCloud can be removed under iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Weartap.
Do I have to buy Pro again?
No. With the same Apple ID, reinstall and tap Settings → Restore purchases. Features you've bought are never taken away.
